Tibetan Mastiff puppies are about as cute as a puppy comes, but they are not for everyone. These cute puppies become extraordinarily strong willed and bodied, independent dogs. The TM is a highly intelligent animal that is devoted to its family. But a TM is also an aloof dog that is not inclined to oblige to your every command and prefer their own way.

The Tibetan Mastiff thrives in a home with space that it can claim as its own and protect. A fenced yard is a must and we would recommend no smaller than 6' fencing. The Tibetan Mastiff will determine an area that it can claim to protect and therefore the boundaries of a yard are important so that it has a sense of place. For the most part, these are not dogs for apartment living and although somewhat sedentary, do need regular exercise that can be well accomplished with a romp around the yard or walk around the neighborhood.

With that in mind, the TM is a wonderful and devoted family companion, given the opportunity for proper socialization and training.
